THIS IS NOT GLAMPING

This is an opportunity to step away from the crowds, disconnect from the noise, and experience a completely different side of Zion National Park. The mountains of Zion.

Tucked away among aspens, pines, and oak trees, your private yurt becomes a peaceful basecamp for an immersive off-grid experience in the Zion area.

There is space. There is quiet. There is privacy.

And there is no resort full of canvas tents packed around you.

But don’t worry, I’m only a mile away and am an expert at living this off-grid lifestyle. You’re in safe hands.

But this is much more than a place to sleep. There are two more pieces to this experience.

HELPING YOU PLAN YOUR VISIT

Your booking includes a 30-minute trip planning consultation phone call/facetime with you and anyone else that would like to join the conversation. After getting a feel for your groups interests, limitations, adventure levels, ages, etc… We will communicate through information and options on which area to stay in, for how many days, and the things I would recommend doing in those areas. This is a great way to ensure you truly make the most of your trip to Zion and Bryce National Parks.

CUSTOMIZED GUIDED EXPERIENCES

Included with your booking, we have a days worth of experiences that I will share with you and your group. This is fully customized. My goal with this is to get people outside of the common areas and common activities. I have a great passion for ENGAGING with the natural world. I like a child, can see hiking as being boring (even though I can love it these days). I like the fun factor of the outdoors. Activities that spark our inner child like curiosity. Things that engage our minds, and bodies with this natural world that we are deeply rooted to as humans. There are so many options, but here are some examples of what we might do:

  • Go explore a slot canyon. We’ll bring one of my pro cameras in and you can take some pro photos to hang on your wall.

  • Pizza night! We’ll make our own pizzas in my wood fired pizza oven. Hopefully we have veggies coming from the garden.. we’ll eat fresh!

  • Learn how, and take your own photos of the Milky Way. Using my pro 2 pro cameras, I’ll teach you everything you need to know on how to take awesome Milky Way photos. It’s your camera for the night so play away, and take the memory card home with you.

  • Off-grid livin’ workshop - Ok, workshop is a bit strong of a word. But a day of learning in real time the foundations of what you would need to know to start off-grid living, feeling confident you know the important things to know. Learn to run a chainsaw, water systems, solar, etc.

  • Learn archery - We’ll learn the fundamentals, put on some war paint (mud), hide in the bushes and shoot at targets.

  • Hiking in unique areas - We’ll go for a hike away from the crowds, and in cooler temperatures. No need to bake.

  • Family portrait session - A great way to remember your experience with the people you love the most.

  • Paddle boarding - There’s a beautiful lake that is pretty quite. Temperatures are perfect. If it’s 107 in Zion, it’s 78 at the lake.

  • Fish for dinner. Know how to fish? No? That’s even better. We’ll go out and I’ll teach you how to fish. We’ll catch our dinner and cook it, served with garden veggies down at one of our places.

  • 4 Wheelers - We can all rent 4-wheelers and I’ll bring you out to this into this unreal landscape very few people know about.

  • Landscape photography workshop - This has been my career for the past 15 years. I teach nature photography. No matter your experience level, I will share my expertise with you in photography technique and the locations that I love to photograph, we’ll go out for some sunset and slot canyon shoots.

  • More - This area is so loaded with options that it’s not possible to list them all out, but hopefully you get the idea.
